Fantastic news from our friends at GivingStreets!
This innovative organisation has been shortlisted for DigitalAgenda’s 2019 Impact Award, sponsored by Nominet. 1 of only 36 finalists, GivingStreets have been recognised for their ingenious way of encouraging more people to donate to those in need.
GivingStreets are developing a cashless way for people to donate – they are responding to the ever-increasing movement towards a cashless society, making sure that there remains an easy way for people to give to rough sleepers, buskers and charities. Their mobile app and method of storing donations via blockchain have won them a place as one of the finalists at the Impact Awards 2019.
Prizes will be awarded on 7th March 2019 in London, where two awards are up for grabs! To help support GivingStreets and their mission to help those living rough on the streets, please vote for them for the People’s Choice Award! You can vote for them easily here. An amazing start to 2019!
We Make Change met GivingStreets through the We Make Change Homelessness Meetings. This community is aiming to bring together those who work in the homelessness sector to bring about positive and lasting change. They’re an opportunity to network, problem solve and discuss ideas to help end homelessness. If you work within the sector and would benefit from collaborating, please click here to view the event and find out more.
